American Eagle Day is June 20 so why not celebrate with polymer clay?
One of my small pleasures is watching the Bald Eagle nest in the National Arboretum in Washington DC and today on American Eagle day, the nest is empty. One of the eaglets fell out last night, but they were ready to fly so I am sure she is fine.
How does polymer clay relate to American Eagle Day you may ask?
For the past 3 weeks I have been staying in Connecticut with my aunt. Her daughter, my cousin is fighting for her life in a battle against cancer. My cousin’s home is decorated with red, white and blue and she has American Bald Eagles throughout the house. Liz is one of the most courageous people I have ever known. Paralyzed in a car accident 40 years ago, she went on to become a wife, mother, grandmother, and even great grandmother. Hard work and perseverance helped her accomplish things most people in her situation only dream of.
On American Eagle Day, I would like to show you the eagle ornament I made for Liz. And if you could pray for her recovery, it would be greatly appreciated.
Keep on Claying!
