It is time for Throwback Thursday Polymer Clay and we are going back to 1994. This week’s polymer clay creation was made by my son when he was only 7 years old.
At the time my son was born, I had already been doing craft shows for 15 years so they were part of his life growing up. When he and his cousins were young, they always wanted to play with clay but I had to limit them because as you all know, pc is not cheap and they really just wanted to run it through the pasta machine.
Every August before my son returned to school, he would go with us to Myrtle Beach, SC for the Craftsmen’s Summer Classic put on by Gilmore Shows at the Convention Center. In 1994 he decided to make some Santa heads to sell.I saved one for myself. All his Santas sold and people came back asking if he had more. They liked the “primitive” look. Matthew never made anything else with the clay but now he can look back on the summer of 1994 on Throwback Thursday Polymer Clay. I hope you let your children take some time to play with the clay and get their creative juices flowing.
Have a great clay day
Till next time,
